About
Welcome to the vibrant world of El Primo Red Tacos, a culinary haven nestled in the heart of Miami at 179 E Flagler St. This pop-up eatery has quickly established itself as a must-visit destination for taco enthusiasts and food lovers alike. When you step into El Primo, you're not just entering a restaurant; you're embarking on an authentic Mexican dining adventure.
At El Primo Red Tacos, the menu is a tribute to rich and bold flavors. Each dish is crafted with love and attention to detail, ensuring that every bite resonates with authenticity. I highly recommend starting with their signature El Primo Red Taco featuring thinly sliced ribeye, served on a warm corn tortilla with an enticing salsa verde for just $6.50. For a true indulgence, the Quesatacos at $6.00 offer a delightful fusion of melted cheese and birria, delighting your taste buds with each savory morsel.
If you’re looking for something hearty, don't miss the Birria Bowl. Priced at $14.00, it’s a delightful symphony of white rice, pinto beans, tender birria, creamy avocado, and pickled red onions that promise to satisfy your cravings. It's a well-composed dish that embodies the essence of homemade comfort food.
Adding to the charm of El Primo are the remarkable reviews from patrons like Djully Rodrigues and Daniel Pedroza, who praise the amazing service provided by the dedicated team, particularly Mari Carmen and Joe. Their commitment to customer satisfaction enhances the dining experience, making each visit memorable. As a reviewer who cherishes service as much as food, I fully concur that the welcoming atmosphere only amplifies the overall enjoyment of their mouthwatering offerings.
For those seeking something sweet, be sure to try the Caramel Flan for $4.00. Its silky texture and rich flavor make it the perfect ending to a delightful meal. The buñuelo, priced at $6.00, is another tempting dessert option that shouldn’t be overlooked.
El Primo Red Tacos stands out not only for its culinary excellence but also for its community-oriented vibe, operating primarily during evenings on select days of the week. As mentioned by Joy P, the cozy environment and the option for 2-for-1 tacos on Tuesdays provide an extra incentive to gather with friends or enjoy a romantic date night.
In a city woven with diverse culinary influences, El Primo Red Tacos is truly a hidden gem. Whether you are a local or a visitor, make sure to stop by and treat yourself to some of the best birria and tacos in Miami. Your taste buds will thank you! Don’t forget to grab a parking spot nearby to indulge in this remarkable taco experience.
“ El Primo Red Taco is an absolute gem! The food is incredible, and the service is top-notch. Mari Carmen and Joe are amazing—super friendly, attentive, and they truly make the experience even better. I've tried most of the dishes, but my favorites are the Birria Smash Burger and the Quesatacos—both are packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic and mouthwatering food. ”
“ Had never been here before and loved it!! Good food and amazing atmosphere. Nice to go out with friends at night or a date during the date. Food was so quick and good deals. Maricarmen and Joe thanks for the service. ”
“ I think this place is just amazing! I am from Mexico and being in Miami for around 20 years it is hard to really find good and authentic Mexican tacos here. But I finally did! El Primo red tacos offers good quality ingredients and prices! ”
“ One of the best Birria places you can find. Service was friendly and great! I got the Quesabirria and it was delicious! Not to mention that they are big and fulfilling . Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to try a different kind of taco ”
“ I had a great experience today. Food was delicious and tasted HOMEMADE! Being as I have only eaten homemade birria, they were able to deliver! Tuesday was 2x1 so I was able to get a great deal today. Prices are a bit steep considering 4.00 for one small taco without the consume (soup) it is extra, but you are paying for high quality meat, and this stuff is great. Parking was on the side of the street and we were able to park a block away and just walk there, wasn’t too bad as there isn’t much businesses functional/open in that area. I arrived around 5:45 and they had just opened at 5! They got super busy as soon as we were eating around 6-6:30, so I would definitely arrive early. They are only open Tuesday, Fri-Sun 5-10pm, since they are a pop-up. Definitely check them out. ”

Their tacos are flavorful, with a variety of fillings that cater to both traditionalists and those looking for something unique.
